I am a dual-title PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science and the Department of Asian Studies at Penn State. I am also the pre-doctoral research associate at the Center for Social Data Analytics at Penn State. I graduated from Renmin University of China with a B.A. in International Relations, and from Duke University with an M.A. in Security, Peace and Conflict. My substantive research interests include populism in authoritarian regimes, information manipulation (censorship and propaganda), and anti-corruption campaigns. Methodologically, I am interested in experiments, measurement issues, quantitative text analysis, and computational social science.
