C-SoDA Open House

The Center for Social Data Analytics kicks off 2019 with an Open House on January 28!

CSODABuilding on tradition started in the BDSS-IGERT "Speed-dating" sessions, members of the Penn State Social Data Analytics community will have the opportunity to learn about each other's work through lightning talks -- two slides, two minutes. After the talks, guests are invited to talk with each other at greater length -- maybe form new collaborations! -- and posters from the C-SoDA and BDSS community will be on display.

C-SoDA's mission is to support and build the Penn State communities involved in research and education in social data analytics. This includes support for students and faculty in Penn State's world-leading Ph.D. and B.S. degree programs offered by the Program in Social Data Analytics (SoDA).

C-SoDA incorporates and builds on the successes of Penn State's NSF-funded Big Data Social Science (BDSS) IGERT PhD training program that ran from 2012-2018, and its precursor, the Quantitative Social Science Initiative (QuaSSI) that ran from 2004-2018. C-SoDA is an initiative of the College of Liberal Arts, supporting the SoDA community campus-wide.
