Yang Yang

Professional Bio

Yang Yang is a first year PhD student in International Relations and Political Methodology. He studies international relations and international political economy with a focus on the role of organized interests. His research focuses on diplomacy, conflicts, and money in politics, using causal inference, quantitative text-analysis, and formal theories. He obtained an M.A. in politics from New York University. Before that, he worked as a policy analyst in Shanghai and a regional journalist in Bangkok. He completed his B.A. in China and M.Sc. in Singapore.
